Nolans Abroad--Dublin

With Jack taking his BC semester abroad in Dublin and Liz taking hers in Cork, the Nolans have left Brooklyn for the week and gone for a visit. I am going to try to blog the trip every night. If the internet connections stay reliable, you might see more pictures of Dublin and London and the Nolans this week. Come visit along with us.

Rich and Mary Kate are in Dublin. Here are some pictures.

Trinity College in Dublin. The students are trying to get the College to fly the Irish flag. The Brits are still reluctant to admit that they are not in charge. Imagine if the University of North Carolina refused to fly the American flag.

It's still a predominantly Catholic culture. Here's a sign outside a fish and chips shop on Shrove Tuesday

Rich, Mary Kate and I had good soup and saw a lunchtime play here and then Jack, two of his friends and we all had pizza here for dinner.
